Yabba Dabba Doo—still waiting for YOU! 🧡 Fred and Barney are back with more purrs, more cuddles—and video proof of their lap-cat credentials! 😻
These bonded kitten brothers are keeping their foster family smiling, but we’d love to see them bring all that happiness to a forever home of their own.🙏
You might remember their heartbreaking start: found discarded in the trash, they were rescued by a kind stranger. Now they’re ready for the life they deserved all along, with a family who will cherish them—and keep them side by side.
Pick either boy up for a cuddle and his motor starts almost immediately. Together? They purr in harmony! And as you’ll see, Fred takes being held to a whole new level. 😂❤️
Barney may be the smaller brother, but he’s the brave ringleader. He ventures out first; once he gives the all-clear, Fred follows right behind. Fred’s appetite suggests he may grow into quite a big boy, but these two already have the important part figured out: everything’s better together.
Could your lap be their next stop? 🐾
Fred and Barney would do best in a home with adults or older children. They haven’t met dogs yet, so their feelings about a canine roommate are still a mystery!
Fill out the adoption questionnaire by tapping here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/KRLA/Cat
and we’ll send it along to their foster parents. Let’s get these boys home—together! 🐱🐱

Nutmeg really showed off his acting chops this year by channeling his inner Dracula. 🧛🏽‍♀️🖤
This regal young cat has been with us since he was a baby. He is the sweetest kitty. Shy at first in our nursery, he has grown to become a gentle, happy, confident cat who seeks out pets from his KR humans. Nutmeg reminds us a lot of (Prince) Rafiki, a once long time resident who finally got the perfect forever home of his (and our) dreams! 🐈‍⬛
An elegant, loving black cat, Nutmeg does not seek the limelight, but has a lot of love and play to share with the right family.

We all love a good female protagonist team, agree? If so you’re gonna love Ada, Claire and Jill —six month old sisters who arrived at our gate a few months ago as small kittens. They are perfect in every way and ready for ADOPTION!
Visit our sanctuary in Atwater VIllage, Thursday through Monday afternoons from noon to 5 pm! The black kitty is Ada, the tuxie with the black dot on her nose is Jill and Claire has the black “heart” nose!

Spooky season is here 👻🙀and the cats of Kitten Rescue are on it! Trudy and Kiwi were delighted to find out they were QUEEN and KING of the jungle! 🦁🦁Trudy is particularly proud to show off her new sleek, lithe figure since her weight loss journey (30 plus pounds down to 12!), while Kiwi just loved channeling his inner explorer/hunter instincts!

How do we communicate the wonders of Apollo? It is not possible. This young man has been through it all. He developed an anxiety based habit of chewing—and eating objects like plastic, and got the diagnosis of PICA, an eating disorder. He suffered through a surgery to remove the foreign contents and that is not something we can do again!
Apollo is sweet and loving and SMART. He has the most “human” expressions of eye blinking and side eye along with other beautifully sensitive windows to his soul. He is a large, long tailed ginger boy. He not only needs—but DESERVES a home where he can be himself, gain confidence and calm—and be safe. 🧡 It is not simple but it entirely doable for just the right adopter!
Right now, Apollo is the inspector of all the boxes—and he takes his role very seriously! Apollo deserves so much more though. If you are interested in changing the trajectory of Apollo’s life and giving him the life he TRULY deserves please visit him during adoption hours at Perry’s Place on weekends from 12-4 pm. Apollo is taking applications.

A big shout out and thank you to The Wallis Annenberg Pet Space for sponsoring a spay/neuter day for Kitten Rescue at their Community Cat Clinic. 💕🏥🎊
We were able to get 36 cats and kittens sterilized, which prevents the births of countless kittens and reduces the overall vulnerable cat population. Today—was a very good day!
