We heard the harps eternal, we yearned for the black hair of our true love, we went down in the river to pray, we meditated on those simple gifts that surround us, and we dreamt of flying away to the promised land.
THANK YOU for joining us on our Appalachian journey. The perfect venue, an enthusiastic and overflowing audience, and the virtuosic musicians of our bluegrass band made for a night we won’t forget.

THANK YOU!!!

You already know Mendelssohn. You just don't know you know him.

The recessional at every wedding you've attended? Him. The peaceful background music in Spongebob and Looney Tunes? Him. One of the pieces chosen to perform during Carnegie Hall's opening week in 1891 — while Tchaikovsky was in the building? Elijah (Also him).

On March 14, Schola Cantorum Silicon Valley performs his masterpiece Elijah — the dramatic, two-hour oratorio whose opening overture sounds suspiciously like the Jaws theme. (Mendelssohn wrote it first. John Williams was just paying attention.)

Be there or be (Spongebob) Square(pants).
