Azimuth Check Foundation Comprised of six board members, all of whom are veterans, except one who values the dedication and sacrifice veterans have made on behalf of this country.

Azimuth Check Foundation helps veterans and their families find their way by fostering community, identify, and purpose through year-round outdoor programs that promote wellness, resilience, and connection. we have long been aware of a gap in desperately needed wellness programs for injured warriors in Northern New England. ACF helps heroes find their way by providing injured warriors with challen

ging year-round athletic activities. It is our core belief that participation in these activities creates wellness in an atmosphere of camaraderie.

On August 27, 1776, the fight for independence looked anything but certain.

The Battle of Long Island was a hard loss for the Continental Army. But the story did not end there. Washington’s army survived, regrouped, and kept going.

As we mark 250 years since the founding of our country, days like this remind us that independence was not inevitable. It was carried forward through courage, sacrifice, endurance, and the refusal to quit when the outcome was still unknown.

🚨 ACF’s events page has been updated! 🚨

There are a lot of great programs coming up: the Northern Rail Trail bicycle trip, deep sea fishing, fall and winter hikes, Nordic skiing, ice climbing, Alpine skiing, wilderness training, fly fishing, and next year’s Women Veterans Hike.

Some programs are open for registration now, and others will have more details added as we get closer.

If you’re a veteran or military family member looking for a way to get outside, try something new, or spend time with people who understand, this is the page to keep an eye on.

ACF and Veteran's Adaptive Sports & Training spent the last few days in the White Mountains with a group of veterans hiking to Zealand Falls Hut.

There was fog, rain, full packs, shared meals, wet gear, games at camp, time at the falls, tired legs, and plenty of moments that probably won’t make it into any formal program description.

That’s a big part of what makes these programs meaningful. The hike gives everyone a place to start, but the rest of the weekend gives people time to settle in, laugh, talk, and get to know the people beside them..

Thank you to VAST for partnering with us on this program, and to the veterans who made the weekend what it was.

As our Dining for a Cause partnership with Post 1917 comes to a close, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported Azimuth Check Foundation throughout August.

To Chef Jason Carron and the entire Post 1917 family—thank you for opening your doors, sharing your passion for hospitality, and investing in the lives of veterans and their families.

To everyone who joined us for dinner, thank you for proving that a simple night out can have a lasting impact.
