What a morning! Thank you to all.
From setup to cleanup, Pie for Breakfast was another great reminder of what can happen when people come together.
Before the doors opened, tables were set, signs were made, pies were arranged, coffee was brewing, and Hatchland Farm ice cream was ready to go. Once things got rolling, there was no shortage of jobs to keep everyone busy serving pie, scooping ice cream, working in the kitchen, stocking pies, welcoming guests, and asking more than a few people walking down Main Street, "Have you had your pie today?"
But some of the best moments were the ones that weren't on anyone's to-do list. Friends catching up over a slice of pie, families sitting together, neighbors meeting for the first time, and conversations continuing long after the pie was served.
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, baked pies, volunteered, and helped make the morning a success. Events like this only happen because of the many people willing to pitch in and support them.
A special thank you to Hatchland Farm Dairy Delites for their generous donation of ice cream, which was a big hit throughout the morning.
We may have convinced a few people that their morning was better with a slice of pie, too.
We're already looking forward to next year.
