Birth Circle Event TODAY (Sunday October 18, 2026) at the Glouster Park from 11am-1pm

Come hang out with us tomorrow for some Tie-Dye & Chili!!

We’ll have items available to tie-dye, or you’re welcome to bring something of your own. Come get creative, spend time together, and enjoy a fun, family-friendly activity right in Glouster!

We’re so excited to bring more opportunities like this to our local communities through The Birth Circle’s Civic Project Grant!

Have an idea for a fun family event in your community? We’d love to help make it happen!

We still have openings for community members who would like to host an event in their own town or neighborhood.

Here’s how it works:

• You come up with a family-friendly event idea.
• The Birth Circle helps you plan it and brings the event to your community.
• We cover approved food, activities, and supplies up to the available funding amount.
• You even get paid for hosting!

You don’t have to be an experienced event planner. We’re looking for everyday community members who know their neighborhoods and want to bring families together.

Whether you’re in Glouster, Nelsonville, Coolville, Stewart, or another community in Athens County, we’d love to hear your ideas!

We had SO much fun spending Neighbor Appreciation Day with all of you at The Market at Hocking Drive! From sharing a meal and enjoying good company to connecting with neighbors and community partners, the day was all about celebrating YOU. ❤️

At The Market, we believe food is about more than what’s on the table. It’s about connection, dignity, and making sure our neighbors know they are valued and supported. Sharing a meal, a conversation, and a few laughs reminded us just how special this community is. 🌭🐶🥔🍎🫑🍭🍩☕️

And the best part? This is just the beginning! 🎉 We can’t wait to make Neighbor Appreciation Day an annual tradition and continue bringing our community together to celebrate the amazing people who make it what it is.

Shout out to Shane and his team at Rural Action for bringing fresh produce from the Chesterhill Produce Auction!

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared a meal, and spent the day with us. We loved celebrating with you, and we’re already looking forward to next year! 🥰

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action, SE Ohio Foodbank, OhioHealth and CareSource are hosting the 6th annual Brake for Breakfast on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 7-10am at the Athens City Pool parking lot! Free breakfast, Women’s Health Information, community partners and OhioHealth’s Mobile Mammography unit available for walks-ins!

HAPCAP for Health is sharing this resource because connecting people with healthcare and other community resources is an important part of helping our neighbors stay healthy.

They joined us at the beginning of September and have already accomplished so much for The Market at Hocking Drive, SE Ohio Foodbank, and Hocking Athens Perry Community Action. From helping neighbors to tackling behind-the-scenes projects, we are so grateful for all the energy, creativity, and hard work they’ve brought to our team.
