Smith Chapel Food and Clothing Mission

Smith Chapel Food and Clothing Mission A Food & Clothing Mission. Visit once each month on the 3RD FRIDAY from 10am to 1pm. We are now a park and load distribution. Average box weight is 25-30 lbs.

Park, come to the awning to register, then use our carts to take your food to your vehicle. SCFCM is a DRIVE THRU - SELF LOADING FOOD DISTRIBUTION PANTRY. We encourage families to help share the labor involved in providing this community service by loading, or bring someone to help them load the boxes and bags we have prepared. Registered families receive services once per month on the third Frid

ay, from 10am to 1pm. Photo ID and Proof of Hocking County Residence is required! Registration can be completed in the Distribution Line. Plan to be in line no later than 12:45 before the line is closed. If you miss distribution plan to return at the next schedule date. Dates of distribution are listed on the marquee at the front of our facility. It is the 3rd Friday of each month unless it is reschedule due to weather conditions. We also have an Event Calendar, follow us on Facebook for all updates! Please do not try to cut line, we will redirect you. The distribution line starts across the street from our entrance, a volunteer will direct you into the registration lane, and then the loading lane. A "Proxy" is someone designated by a qualified applicant to pick up and deliver their food distribution. The applicant must register with us first. They may add the proxy during registration, or later send a written note naming proxy on their account. The proxy must provide a copy of the applicants ID and Proof of Residence. Yes it can be a photo copy, yes it can be a picture on your smart phone. We take precautions to help assure those waiting at home will receive the food intended for them. If you are unable to attend, and have a licensed case worker who has all required documents, we will assist them on the Tuesday or Thursday between distributions. Caseworkers can text or email to schedule a Tuesday or Thursday between 9am and 1pm. No phone appointments available.

3 trash bags thrown over our gate, left in the rain, found this morning😒

We have always had a NO DROP OFF POLICY!

Unwelcome trash bags are littering and will be put in the dumpster!

No one wants to open a trash bag surprise 😔 I could tell you disgusting stories of what some will donate.
Some confuse their trash with donations and drop that off instead.

We have clothes from when our Thrift store was open. If there is something we do not have or need, I will post a request to the community.

NO DROP OFFS!

Please pass the word!
