The Summer Garden - Hocking County Community Gardens

With the beginning of a new year comes a reflection on our past year of work with and for our community 🙂

We wanted to make sure everyone was able to see our return on the initial investment this year for our garden. What a success!

Our initial cost was $300 for seeds and plants that led us to an almost $2000 worth of produce that was able to be donated to our local food pantries and food banks! That’s a 645% profit! 😳

We are so thankful for all of the support that this project has received and we look forward to continue this work and growth in the years to come!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to help us plant this morning! YOU’RE AMAZING!You helped us take 20 hours of work, and turn it into 4 with twice as much produce planted this season! You have no idea how much you are appreciated, and we are looking forward to continue working with everyone throughout the summer! The impact that we will be able to make with such an incredible team is going to be absolutely incredible 😊

We truly have a passion for this project and helping our community become a better place for everyone! Too often we see our community members struggle with access to fresh, nutritious food.
