We’re thrilled to share that the new staircase at Conkle's Hollow State Nature Preserve is officially open! 🙌

This incredible improvement was made possible through the Destination Investment Fund, supporting projects that enhance both our community and the visitor experience.

The Friends of the Hocking Hills State Park was proud to be involved with a grant that supports visitor safety and we want to extend a sincere thank you to the Hocking Hills Tourism Association for their partnership and support in making this project a reality.

👏 Collaboration like this is what keeps Hocking Hills thriving, accessible, and beautiful for all who visit.

Friends of the Hocking Hills State Park is entering an exciting new chapter — and we are hiring our next Executive Director.

This is a paid leadership role for someone who is passionate about conservation, community engagement, and the long-term stewardship of one of Ohio’s most treasured natural destinations.

The Executive Director will:
• Lead day-to-day operations
• Partner with the Board of Directors
• Strengthen fundraising and development efforts
• Build strategic community relationships
• Help shape the future of Hocking Hills

We are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven leader who loves the outdoors and believes in the power of nonprofit organizations to make lasting impact.

JOIN US FOR OUR 21st ANNUAL MEETING DINNER!

Please plan to join us starting at 5 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025 for the Friends of Hocking Hills State Park 21st Annual Meeting and dinner celebration!

The meeting will be held at the beautiful Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center at 20020 OH-664, Logan, OH 43138. (Click on the address to view a page on Google to see a map of the location.)

Registration will begin at 5 PM, opening remarks will begin at 5:30 PM, and dinner will be served directly after. Our guest speaker is TBD. The cost to attend is $50.00, and you can PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS ONLINE BY CLICKING HERE If you wish to pay at the event, please email us to reserve your spot at [email protected].

In any event, please make sure that you RSVP before 5pm on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Non-alcoholic beverages are included with your meal, and a cash bar will be available as well.

Please make plans to join us, and please bring a friend! AND if you want to spend the night at the new lodge, please be sure to make a reservation early!!

This fall, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) invites nature enthusiasts and history lovers alike to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the state’s purchase of the iconic Old Man’s Cave at Hocking Hills State Park.
