How can small water systems achieve compliance when conventional treatment solutions are out of reach?

WQRF is launching a new research project focused on creating a practical, regulator-accepted pathway for using Point-Of-Use (POU) and Point-Of-Entry (POE) treatment technologies to help small communities meet drinking water standards. The goal is to develop a repeatable roadmap that reduces barriers and expands compliance options for systems that need them most.

Research is now underway on a new WQRF-funded study exploring how water hardness, detergent formulations, and modern appliance technologies influence cleaning performance and resource efficiency.

By replicating and expanding previous WQRF research under today's real-world conditions, the project aims to provide updated scientific insights into the factors that affect laundry and dishwashing performance.

Follow WQRF for project updates and future findings.
