What a night for Lisle!
Senior Night (for nearly half of the senior class participating in various activities! Or so it seemed) the soccer team being crowned conference champions, and the football team bringing home another W made for an exciting evening all around!
It was also the final stadium performance for our 2026 LHS Marching Band, and what a way to close it out! The band performed four fantastic numbers from West Side Story and gave us another performance to be proud of.
We also celebrated our incredible seniors. We are so grateful for the leadership, musicianship, dedication, and joy they bring to our band family. They have made such a lasting impact, and while we cannot wait to see all the amazing things their futures hold, we know they will be dearly missed.
The evening was especially bittersweet as we honored Mr. Scott Gumina, our LHS Band Director for the past 16 years and a member of Lisle District 202 for 29 years, as he prepares for retirement at the end of this school year.
The time, talent, love of music, and unwavering dedication he has shared with our students have been an incredible gift—not only to the band members, but also to their families and our entire community. We are so thankful for all he has given to Lisle and the lasting impact he has made on generations of musicians.
Thankfully, we still have the rest of the school year to make more memories with our seniors and Mr. Gumina! There is still plenty of music to make and much to celebrate.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming concerts!
October 21, 2026: Join us for our first fall concert featuring the 6th Grade Band in the LHS Auditorium.
October 28, 2026: Our LHS Jazz Bands take the stage for their first concert of the year, a special joint performance with the Benet Academy Jazz Bands in the LHS Auditorium.
Thank you to our students, directors, families, and community for making this such a memorable evening. The final stadium performance may be behind us, but the music continues!
