We have some gifted volunteers! Our robes were in a mess and Nancy Elmore took it upon herself to fix our problem. She made one for the end of each our shelving units. Looks so much more organized and neat. Thank you, Nancy!

PURPOSE PLACE PRE-REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Calling all 14-19 year old high school students who are interested in a free life skills program aimed at helping you find your God-given purpose. We meet one night per week during the school year. We teach Dave Ramsey's financial foundations course. We teach cooking and students prepare the dinner meal each class period. Other topics include cake decorating, sewing, entrepreneurship, changing tires, checking car fluids, basic home maintenance and repair. We've had some specialty classes with reupholstery and dry wall. Please spread the news and share this with all your friends.

Wanted to give an update and a big shout of praise--the $10,000 match issued through the end of this month has been met! Thank you to everyone who stepped up to the challenge so generously and to the anonymous donor who offered the match. Only eternity will reveal all the lives you touched with your giving.

When I let them know a little while ago that the funds have all come in for their match, that donor reminded me to mention their challenge for another Christian business (or individual) to join them in offering the same match they just did. So, if God puts it on your heart to accept their challenge, feel free to contact our director.

Our $10k match is going on now thru the end of May. An anonymous donor is matching dollar-for-dollar all gifts up to $10,000 thru the end of May.

Also, that donor is challenging another Christian business, or individual, to do the same thing they are doing, offer an additional $10,000 match. Wouldn't that be amazing?!

To be clear, no one has taken their challenge as of yet. But if you want to double your impact, give your gift by May 31 to be included in the $10 000 match that we do currently have. Right now, we have $2,127 deposited toward the match.

Friday, May 15 is our official 25th birthday/anniversary! We invite everyone out to the Center (112 Doctors Park) for a drop-in birthday/anniversary celebration. Board members, volunteers, staff, clients, donors, friends, neighbors, and community--come celebrate with us anywhere from 9am to 6pm. It's an all-day prayer and praise day. Please be mindful that a few of the businesses are open that day so please do not use their parking spaces. But for now, ours is available as well as the empty lot and the building right beside it that's currently for sale. Help us spread the word and stop by to celebrate with us!
