Catawba Valley Chapter - NCSAR The Catawba Valley Chapter of the NCSSAR services the areas of Lincoln and Catawba Counties of North Carolina and the surrounding areas.

Originally Chartered as a part of the
National Society of the
Sons of the American Revolution,
North Carolina Society,
as The Unifour Chapter 17 October 1997
Renamed Catawba Valley Chapter
06 May 2002 Our Chapter focuses on the mission of the SAR as a whole by providing grave markings of our Patriot ancestors, color guard and the firing of volleys with flintlock ri**es at various events, historic training and speakers at living histories, partnerships with various Daughters of the American Revolution Chapters, and much, much more. 🇺🇸 REVOLUTIONARY HISTORY IS COMING TO HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WILKESBORO 🇺🇸

Mark your calendars, history lovers! The Rendezvous Mountain Chapter NSDAR is bringing the Freedom Truck to The Wilkes Heritage Museum this November for a free, family-friendly weekend celebrating America's 250th anniversary.
Think a one-of-a-kind mobile exhibit, a special visit from General George & Mrs. Martha Washington, and a chance to connect with the people, sacrifices, and events that shaped our nation's founding, all right here in Historic Downtown Wilkesboro.

"This weekend is an opportunity for our community to step back in time and connect with the people and sacrifices that helped establish our nation," said Kathleen McLendon, America 250 Chairperson for the Rendezvous Mountain Chapter.

Friday, November 6
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Students Only
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Open to the Public

Saturday, November 7
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Open to the Public

Friday: Appearances at the Freedom Truck
Saturday: Lectures in the Auditorium at 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM, plus Freedom Truck appearances throughout the day
