Dutch (Red Dachshund) is PRECIOUS. He was a stray that came into Santa Maria Animal Services in June. He is beloved by staff because of his personality & the fact that he LONGS to be with people, softly cries to be with you & held/loved! 🥹💔 No history…possible owner passed away & he was let out?! 😬
He was obviously cared for by somebody before though…he loves car rides & walks, he likes to sleep in bed, he’s potty trained, goes easily into a crate, wants to be with other dogs, likes to play, & more. He DESERVES a wonderful home or somebody who can foster until the right home is found. 😍
Brother & Sister (Doxie/Chihuahuas) are 16, & have various needs because of age & neglect. 😣 They should remain together! They are sweet little old souls who are confused. Shelter staff says they are giving some extra attention due to their age & all.
They came from a hoarding situation & owners were selling drugs/evicted. They were basically dumped on the streets! 😡 These two, AT 16 years-old, were found as strays a day apart walking the streets & when called on their microchips, were told they had the wrong number. 😝 They NEED someone to step up & give them comfort in their final years of life. 💞
