What an incredible weekend for Max Raven Animal Rescue!

A huge thank you to Jenn and Troy at Pet Wants for hosting our nail trim fundraiser and so generously donating the proceeds to Max Raven Animal Rescue. Also to everyone that stopped by with your pups to get those paws looking good! Your support, generosity, and partnership mean more than you know, and we’re so grateful!

And to everyone who stopped by our booth at Wine & Howl—thank you for visiting, asking about our adoptable pets, making donations, shopping our merchandise, and simply spending part of your day with us. Every conversation, every share, every dollar, and every ounce of support helps us continue saving lives.

We say it all the time, but it’s because it’s true…

It really does take a village.

From our volunteers and fosters to our donors, adopters, event hosts, and every person who cheers us on from the sidelines—you are all part of the Max Raven family.

🐾 Coming Soon… Meet Carmen! 🐾

Sometimes life changes in ways no one could have prepared for.
Sweet Carmen’s world was turned upside down when her beloved owner had to move into a nursing home. Through no fault of her own, this loyal little girl is now looking for a new chapter—and we are so honored to help her find it. ❤️

Carmen is a 6-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who just needs a little time to decompress before she’ll be ready for adoption.

What we’ve learned about her so far…�✨ She loves car rides!�✨ She’s happiest being close to her people and will quickly become your little shadow.�✨ She’s a little shy when you first meet her, but once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with hugs and unconditional love.�✨ She’s incredibly loyal and naturally wants to protect the people she loves.

Carmen has spent her life as the only dog in the home and has always been the devoted companion of older adults.

We’re taking the time to get to know her personality, update her veterinary care, and make sure she’s feeling safe and settled before we begin accepting applications.

This sweet girl has experienced a lot of change in a short time, and now she deserves a family who will make sure she never has to wonder where she belongs again.

🐾 Cash is Back & Looking for His Perfect Forever Home 🐾

Sometimes the right match takes a little longer to find… and that’s okay, because we’re holding out for the perfect family for Cash.

Cash is a beautiful Great Pyrenees with everything people love about the breed—loyal, gentle, affectionate, and devoted to his people. He loves attention, is house trained, responds well to verbal commands, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s also wonderful with older children and truly is a gentle giant.

Like many Great Pyrenees, Cash would thrive with room to stretch his legs, patrol his yard, and then come inside to soak up all the love and attention from his family.

Cash does have one important management need: he has resource guarding around food. Because of this, he’ll need an adopter who understands canine behavior, is committed to managing meal times appropriately, and ideally has experience with the Great Pyrenees breed or other guardian breeds. With the right home, structure, and understanding, this is something that can be successfully managed.

We’re looking for someone who sees Cash for the amazing dog he is—not just the challenge he comes with.

What a busy—and incredibly rewarding—week it’s been for the Max Raven crew!

We’re beyond excited to share that Baxter has found his forever home, and we truly couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect match. 🥹

Watching this handsome boy begin his next chapter with a family who already adores him is exactly why we do what we do. Every goodbye is bittersweet, but knowing he’s where he belongs makes it all worthwhile.

If you’re looking for the perfect mix of sweet, playful, and loving, Sherman may just be your guy!

This handsome 1-year-old Shepherd mix is starting to come out of his shell and show off his super sweet & fun-loving personality. Sherman loves spending time with his sister Sunny and his foster brother, and he’s always ready for some playtime & a cuddle on the couch .

Like any young pup, Sherman is still working on his basic commands, but he’s eager to learn and wants nothing more than to make his people happy. He’s full of puppy energy right now, so he’ll thrive with a family that can continue his training and help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.

At Max Raven Animal Rescue, we learn something from our animals every single day.

They don’t care who you hold hands with.
They don’t care what your family looks like.
They don’t care how you express yourself.
They don’t care about labels.

They care about kindness.
They care about safety.
They care about love.

And so do we.

If animals can love without conditions, maybe people can too.
