We are so incredibly excited for the Lincoln skatepark to be opening Tues. April 14th at 3:30pm! Thanks to Maggie Stuckey-Ross and her team at Lincoln Parks & Rec, Lincoln Parks Foundation - Randall J. Gordon and Susan Larson Rodenburg, Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and her team at the City, all of the skaters and friends who waited a lifetime to see this day COME TO BE, my dedicated friends at Lincoln Skatepark Association and of course, thanks to all of the donors who truly made this possible!!! ✨RAFFLE TIME✨

LSA brings together skaters and supporters from across generations through various events including Sunday Fundays, local skate competitions, involvement in Lincoln High Skate Club, and South Haymarket Skatepark planning meetings. We hope to bring more fun, creativity, and support to our community in the future and can’t do it without some help and engagement! What better way to do so by having a holiday raffle!

The Lincoln Skatepark Association invites you to the hottest event of the Summer!

Join us tomorrow, Saturday, July 13 for a raging outdoor party in the middle of North 21st Street between P and Q streets to raise money for the South Haymarket Park Skatepark. The Big Deal runs from 3 to 8 p.m. and will feature bands, food trucks, prize raffle, silent auction and a skate contest.

FOOD VENDORS: Rutabagas Comfort Food, Kona Ice, Maize Popcorn Company, Muchachos and our co-host the Hub Cafe.

MUSIC FROM: The Credentials, Disrepair raw punk, and Mothawk !!!

It's gonna be a hot one, so stay hydrated, bring your board and look forward to the biggest summer party in Lincoln!

Spohn Ranch Skateparks unveiled an initial skatepark design for South Haymarket Park at an open house at the Bay on May 7. We had a great turnout and great discussion about what will be Nebraska's biggest skatepark.
