Have you gotten your tickets to the Unity Ball yet? 👀

Uh oh...we had a feeling.

Don't worry, though. We've got you, because there's still time to grab them before the doors close on the funnest, most q***r night in Nebraska. 🪩 🕺💃

When we say it's THE night to show up in a space with other members of Nebraska's q***r community, celebrating who we are, being our expressive selves, showing up for each other, while ALSO having the chance to give to a cause greater than just ourselves...we mean it.

This is the best night of the year! We're a little biased, though.

💜 Are you passionate about trans rights and making sure your LGBTQ+ neighbors' voices and rights are heard and upheld? Are you also, like, really good at knocking on doors and talking to new people? 👀 We hope this sounds like you!

OutNebraska is looking for a Part-Time Temporary Canvasser/Organizer to help out with our work opposing Initiative 442 on the Nebraska ballot this November. You will spend the next several weeks talking with voters face-to-face and by phone about why this matters for trans Nebraskans and their families.

This role will run from September 25th through November 11th, at 15 to 20 hours a week and $25/hour. The hours include some evenings and weekends.

If you have prior canvassing experience, that helps, and so does a love of connecting with people.

Tickets for The Unity Ball are officially on sale. No more waiting 🪩 🕺💃

Our annual ball is a night for members of Nebraska's LGBTQ+ community to celebrate who we are, our expressive selves, our warm and embracing community, where we are able to hold each other up and show up for each other, and also give to a cause greater than ourselves that will last well beyond a night of joy and celebratory fun.

We can't wait to see you again if you've been coming for years, or if this is your very first year, we can't wait to open the door and welcome you! 💜

OutNebraska's annual ball is a cornerstone of our yearly fundraising impact and a central moment for our community to gather in celebration and joy of who we are as a community—who we are as people.

As our organization grows and our impact expands across Nebraska, we are excited to introduce a new name to an old favorite that reflects the heart of what this event has always been about: coming together to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ Nebraskans.

→ A ridiculous high school scheme turn into a real-life coming-out story in She's the He.

→ A dumped space princess has only 24 hours to rescue her ex from a horde of intergalactic incels in Le***an Space Princess.
→ Fathers of trans and nonbinary kids gather in a cabin where they can finally admit that they are scared in The Dads.

Five short films. 70 minutes. Two ghost stories. One wedding. One diner on Valentine's Day. A first date that goes gloriously sideways.

The Short Films Program brings together five of the year's most inventive LGBTQ+ shorts, ranging from a ghost comedy in Phnom Penh to a wedding cèilidh in the Scottish Hebrides to a Valentine's Day shift at a diner in rural Missouri.

🎬 I'm the Most Racist Person I Know: A pity date between two women of color turns real, then turns uncomfortable.

🎬 The Pink Funeral: A trans Chinese girl comes back as a ghost to fight for her own proper burial.

🎬 Kiloran Bay: A musical starring Alan Cu***ng and Jack Wolfe, set amid the fierce joy of a Hebridean wedding.

🎬 Ronita Rambo: A diner waitress keeps the back booth safe for a closeted teen, then takes a chance of her own.
