A sweet treat for our amazing DME staff! 🍏🍎

The PTA treated our staff to an apple nacho bar, generously sponsored by Tina Bryson and Dixon Electric! Staff got to customize their own apple nachos with a variety of delicious toppings and sauces!

A big thank you to Tina Bryson and Dixon Electric for helping us show our DME staff some extra love and appreciation🩵

What a wonderful day celebrating our kids and bringing our school community together! We had an absolute blast with all the games, activities, smiles, and memories made throughout the day.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing businesses and community supporters listed at the end of these pictures. Your generous donations helped make Kentucky Kids Day possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your support of our students and our school! We couldn’t have done it without you.

We also want to give a special thank you to GymCore, What the Foam and Henry Clay High School Cheerleaders for donating their time to help make the day possible. Your generosity and support mean so much to our school community!

And we want to give a very special shoutout to Nicole Gwishiri, our PTA Vice President of Programs! Nicole poured so much time, energy, creativity, and heart into making this event happen. From all the planning and behind the scenes work to making sure everything came together- she went above and beyond for our kids. We are so thankful for everything she did to make the day such a success!

This is what happens when our school community comes together for our kids!

📸 Enjoy some highlights from Kentucky Kids Day- and be sure to check out the final pictures for a special thank you to all of our generous donors!

Hello all! We have one week remaining for our fall membership drive! We would love for you to join our mission to make every child’s potential a reality 🤍 our goal is to create a space where we can all come together and share ideas to make DME even better!

🍎 Dixie Magnet PTA Fall Membership Drive 🍎

Hello, DME families! We’re so excited to kick off our fall PTA membership drive — and we have a few fun prizes up for grabs this year!

✨ For our students - The two grade levels with the most registered PTA members by September 25 will earn a Pajama Day for their entire complex!

We’ll also be randomly selecting a member family to receive a gift card to Halo Salt Room and one family to receive a wonderful gift bag from Wildlings Bookshop. 📚

At its heart, PTA is an advocacy organization with a mission to make every child’s potential a reality. Here at DME, your membership helps us support experiences for our students, staff, and families — from student appreciation days and family engagement events to special traditions like Arts Day, Multicultural Night, and so much more. We would love to include as many people as possible in the community that makes our mission come to life!

PTA membership is for everyone. Moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends, community members, local businesses — anyone who cares about our students is welcome to join.

Joining PTA does not mean you’re committing to attend meetings, volunteer at events, or take on another responsibility. Your membership alone supports our school. If you do want to get more involved, we would love to have you — whether that means helping once a year, sharing an idea, attending a meeting, or volunteering when it works for your family.

We would love to have you join us as we work together to make DME a wonderful place for ALL of our students, families, and staff members 🤍 if you’re interested in joining, you can sign up using the link below!
