Thank you Deputy Burgess and The Marshall County Sheriff's Department. IT MATTERS!!
*****UPDATE : Bradford, our newest emergency guest, is doing good considering what he has been through.. He is eating, and going potty. We will update more tomorrow.******
HUGE shout out to our village in this county who steps up for a phone call.
We got a call from Julia Batte at Dispatch that there was an emergency in Petersburg with a dog that someone saw being dumped. Deputy Burgess was with it. Immediate help was needed. Shelley Lawrence contacted me and we discussed next steps, as we could not say no. There is no known Animal Control for the county right now except the Deputies who respond to emergent calls. The dog was bleeding and had a wire muzzle on. So, Shelley and I got on the phone and started making calls. Deputy Burgess got the bleeding slowed down by wrapping the dogs neck. Laura Rowland, who works at Meredith-Warner Animal Clinic, went out to evaluate this dog for us, and help us, as we are both out of the county right now. She said the dog has a possible gunshot wound and has a wire muzzle placed so it could not eat.
Thanks to her, our new charge is at the vet's office now and will get medication and be seen by the vet ASAP.
I am going to put pictures in the comments so you can see what we know now. After the vet examines this dog we will be able to send that Information to the Deputy so he can add it to the report. If you recognize this dog, please call the Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 931-359-7215, and let Deputy Burgess know. I pray that the person who did this will be caught and prosecuted. 😥😥
If you want to donate to help us pay this unexpected vet bill and be able to help others for a phone call, please contact Meredith Warner Animal Clinic and pay on the bill, or PayPal [email protected].
God Bless every one of you all that step up for a phone call from us. We absolutely can't do this without our community.
I am so grateful. We are all so very grateful. Thank you so much.
Thank you to Taylor Clune for putting the wheels in motion. God bless you for contacting everyone you could. All of y'all are angels.
