Big announcement from our very own Lion Evan Jones! Way to go!
Big announcement!
It has been a busy couple of months for Chelsea and me, and I’m a little behind on getting posts out, so you’ll probably see a few updates soon from recent events. But for now, I’m excited and honored to share that I have been elected by the upcoming District Governors to serve as Tennessee’s next Council Chair beginning in July.
I truly appreciate the confidence they have placed in me, and I look forward to serving alongside some incredible leaders across our state.
Now for the really big announcement…
As many of you know, my theme this past year was “Sound of Service,” and let me tell you, District 12-I Lions Clubs made that sound loud and clear! While it is not common for the Council Chair to carry a theme statewide, I decided it was time to do something a little different.
Tennessee has five districts, and because our state stretches nearly 500 miles across, every district operates a little differently. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, those differences help make us strong. But no matter how different we may be, we all share the same purpose: helping people who need us most through service.
With that in mind, I am proud to introduce next year’s statewide theme:
“Serving in Harmony”
I believe this theme represents exactly who we are as Lions. Different voices. Different communities. One mission. And together, we can make an even greater impact across Tennessee.
