💰 Beta Kappa Grant + Marshall Education Foundation Grant | $750 total

Anatomy class is going on the road! 🚌🔬

Thanks to support from the Beta Kappa Grant and the Marshall Education Foundation Grant, Lindsey Bledsoe will take her Anatomy and Physiology students to the Human Bodies exhibit in Gatlinburg! Students will have the opportunity to connect what they learn in the classroom with an up-close look at human anatomy.

💰 First Commerce Bank Grant | $750

History field trip, anyone? 🚌📚

Thanks to the First Commerce Bank Grant, Mr. Henderson will take Lewisburg Middle School students to the historic home of President James K. Polk in Columbia! Students will step beyond the classroom and experience Tennessee history firsthand.

Carolyn Mills — Marshall County High School
First Commerce Bank Grant | $750

Psychology comes to life when students can experience it firsthand! 🧠

With support from the First Commerce Bank Grant, Carolyn Mills will add hands-on activities and equipment to her AP Psychology class. From exploring brain models to trying interactive experiments, students will have new ways to connect psychology concepts to real life and prepare for their AP exam.

Jennifer Tucker — Marshall County High School
First Commerce Bank Grant | $750

It's time to get behind the camera! 📸

With support from the First Commerce Bank Grant, Jennifer Tucker will expand MCHS's AP Photography program with four digital cameras. As the program continues to grow, these cameras will help students move beyond cellphone photography and develop real camera skills, build confidence, and explore their creativity.

Koley Borah — Lewisburg Middle School
Walter Bussart Grant | $750

Students at Lewisburg Middle School will be turning creativity into something they can share and sell! 🎨

With support from the Walter Bussart Grant, Koley Borah will provide 7th-grade students with printmaking supplies to design, carve, and print their own artwork. Students will even have the opportunity to sell their creations at the school's Fine Arts Night, gaining valuable experience in both art and entrepreneurship.

🐝 2027 Grant Winner Spotlight

Dwayne Cook — Marshall County High School
Retired Teachers Grant | $756.40

Mr. Cook is helping MCHS students get hands-on with beekeeping! 🐝

Through the school's Beekeeping/Apiary Club, students will work with real hives while learning about environmental science, biology, agriculture, business, and more. This grant will provide additional protective equipment and hive resources so more students can participate.

We're proud to support opportunities that let students learn by doing! And we're grateful to the Retired Teachers Grant for helping make this experience possible.

The Marshall Education Foundation Scholarship Application is now available for students to complete for the 2026-2027 academic year!

The following scholarships are administered by the Foundation:

The following scholarships are administered by the Foundation:

• Brooks Grocery = Two (2) scholarships at $1,000 (FHS)

• Eddie M. Wright Family Foundation = One (1) scholarship at $500 (CHS)

• Kamron Hightower Memorial Scholarship = One (1) scholarship at $1,000 (MCHS)

• Lewisburg Rotary Club = Four (4) scholarships at $1,000 (CHS -1, FHS -1, and MCHS - 2)

• MEF Founders Scholarship = Two (2) scholarships at $1,000 (Incoming Columbia State Freshman - 1 and current Columbia State student - 1)

• The Howard & Annette Lawrie Music Scholarship = One (1) scholarship at $1,200 (anyone pursuing a degree related to music)

• Tommy Hawkins Memorial = One (1) scholarship at $1,000 (MCHS)

A total of twelve (12) scholarships will be granted to Marshall County students.
