What a night at the TWHYA Summer Splash!

On behalf of the Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Association, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s show such a tremendous success. From our dedicated youth members and parents who volunteered their time, to our exhibitors, show officials, sponsors, and attendees—this event would not be possible without each of you.

With an incredible 152 entries and a fantastic crowd, we were overwhelmed by the support shown for our youth program. The Summer Splash serves as a major fundraiser that helps fund our youth activities and programs throughout the year, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who played a role in its success.

One of the highlights of the evening was watching our youth participants take part in the shadowing experience. It was rewarding to see them learn and gain hands-on experience in different aspects of the horse show industry. A special thank you to Shane Shiflet and Hardison Green for allowing our participants the opportunity to assist with announcing and photography throughout the show.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our youth and helping make this year’s Summer Splash such a memorable and successful event. We are blessed to be part of such an incredible horse community and can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young people.

Attention Youth Riders!

Ready to level up your riding skills and compete for scholarship money and ribbons?

The TWHBEA Youth Medallion Program is designed to help young riders gain confidence and become proficient in canter classes while having fun in the show ring!

Open to riders 17 & under, riders accumulate points for placing and participating in Youth Medallion classes and a $500 college scholarship will be awarded in each division to the rider accumulating the most points for the current year.
