Hey Veterans! Do you know about the Lancaster Vets Breakfast Club? Breakfast for you and your spouse at Bird in Hand, lots of Vets involved in groups and organizations to support and a speaker, oh and I can’t forget Bills jokes! Give Mary a call to reserve your spot. ( her number is on the flyer) You MUST reserve your spot. They meet the 3rd Saturday Every month.

TWO WEEKS!

Just two weeks until the Official start of the War Memorial Flea Market season kicks off! Looks like it’s going to be a Full House! We have quite a few vendors who have committed to the entire flea market season, and we have new vendors signed up to sell at our November sale!

As usual, the kitchen will be open with hot breakfast and lunch, homemade soup and treats.

7am-1pm
Leola Flea Market will be open upstairs from us 7am-4pm. They are open Every Week Thursday- Sunday. Their hours are Thursday - Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-2. Their entrance is out front next to Joes Wings, then up the steps but you can get there from in the hall.

If you are looking for a date for something special in 2027 get your phone calls or texts in. Spots are filling up. $100 security deposit reserves your date.

WAR MEMORIAL FLEA MARKET DATES

Typically held the first Saturday of the month from November through April, notice January will be held the SECOND Saturday of the month because of the way New Year’s falls.

Ready to set up a table? Give Barb a call to reserve your table. You can also reserve your table for the entire 6 month selling season and get a discount if you Pre-pay. Guarantee your table And save money- that’s a win-win!

Set up will still be Friday for Vendors and there will be NO early entrance on Saturdays for buyers.

Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attack that reshaped our nation.
Do you remember where you were, and what you were doing when you heard the news?

Tomorrow evening, we invite the community to join us here at the War Memorial Association where the Boy Scouts will be holding their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony. If you have any flags you would like to retire please bring them along with you and they will be added to the flags being properly retired. The ceremony starts out in the front of the building at 630pm.

Friday, September 11th at 6:30 the War Memorial will be hosting the Boy Scouts for their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony.

If you have any flags you would like to have properly retired you can bring them along at attend the ceremony, of you may drop them off and they will be included in the retirement ceremony.

There is a bin inside the front door of Leola Flea Market where you can place your flags during their business hours (Thursday-Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-2) or you may bring them and hand in at any of our monthly flea markets ( 1st Saturday of the months November- April 7am-1pm) Flags are collected throughout the year for this event.

If you plan to come to the event this Friday, the ceremony starts at 6:30pm out front where they take down the current hanging flags, then move inside for the next phase of the ceremony and then finally out to the back parking lot where the flags are burned in the gravel part of the lot. This really is an important event and we encourage you to come out and witness this event.
