Please share this post with any who walk and hike this Trail! Mowing helps us all, helps reduce the tick population and makes a much more pleasant walk! Just a much bigger task than volunteers can manage! Enjoy NATIONAL TRAILS DAY JUNE 6TH. THANK YOU. WATCH THE THERMOMETER RISE ON THE TRAIL HEAD SANDWICH BOARD.....

Hello all, spent some time out on the trail today clearing a few trees downed from last weeks wind. The trail is now clear from start to finish, so get out there and enjoy the views without any leaves on the trees.

I’m including a time elapsed video of the upper section, leaving and returning from the Big Red Barn (on 117) trailhead.

A path through the downed trees was cleared today, but it requires climbing over a couple of big trunks. We are making plans to completely clear the trail. On the bright side we checked the rest of the trail and the conditions are great.

Thank you Mark and all volunteers! T'was such a GOOD TIME! and looking forward to next year

hope everyone has the luminary walk on your calendar! perhaps we can have enough donations for one or two mowings for paths next spring! Remember, this is all dependent on donations. Yes, still could use some help, have all bases covered, but an extra hand(s) would help. But do NEED a couple 25 gal coffee urns(borrow) for the hot chocolate and donated hot chocolate mix and hot cups, plus large marshmellows to roast and small marshmellows for hot chocolate. Text me if you can do something. Thanks in advance Karen.......text 860-464-1559 or drop off at The Paddock Tack Shop
