✨ People ask us all the time: what makes LST so special? It's the blend!

Every season, our company (around 75 actors, musicians and techs) is made up of roughly half local talent and half traveling artists. Our local artists bring something irreplaceable: they're crazy talented, know the area, know our audiences, and many of them have been performing with us for years. Some of them even grew up on our stage! When a performer from Wenatchee, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Chelan, or Ellensburg walks out under the lights at Ski Hill, there's a connection you simply can't manufacture.

And our traveling artists? They come from across the country, drawn to LST because of our reputation for doing things at a genuinely pro level in an extraordinary setting. They bring fresh perspectives and the kind of energy that comes from artists who have chosen this life — and chosen us.

When those two worlds share a stage, something remarkable happens. That's the LST experience! 💚🎶✨🌲

Help us make magic in the mountains: Host a performer this summer!

For 32 years, Leavenworth Summer Theater has brought professional musical theater to our community - and this success is only possible because generous community members open their homes to our traveling actors and orchestra musicians.

Hosting a performer is more than providing a place to stay. It's a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at live theater, hear tales from the wings, and connect with talented people from across the country. Many hosts form lasting friendships with their guests - some relationships continue well into the future.

Our artists prepare their own meals, do their own laundry, and often travel for auditions or visit home during breaks between shows - so you can have plenty of your own time too. Planning a summer vacation? Many performers are happy to house-sit and pet-sit while you're away.

As a thank you, hosts receive four free tickets to the family night of each musical -that's three performances you can enjoy with family or friends.

Housing arrangements often vary from complimentary stays to $600 monthly rentals, and we can assist with formal agreements through a local realtor if needed.
