We’re on a mission to break health barriers and bring equity to breast cancer care for minority women — because every woman deserves the chance to heal, thrive, and live beyond diagnosis. We are dedicated to addressing health disparities in breast cancer, with a particular focus on empowering minority women diagnosed with aggressive subtypes of the disease. Through a range of programs, services, and community engagement, we work tirelessly to bridge the gap in care and improve healthcare outcomes for these individuals and their families, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive beyond their diagnosis.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends Saturday. Her fight doesn’t. 🎀

For Black women under 40, breast cancer doesn’t stop when the pink comes down on November 1st. Treatment, bills and appointments keep coming every month. So our support has to come every month too.

That’s why we’re asking you to help us Fill Her Ribbon. 💗

Pick a small monthly pledge, from $12 up to the $100 heart, and we’ll fill in your section. Together, a full ribbon supports one woman every month, long after October is over.

Many companies have pulled back the grants that once supported organizations serving Black women, but the need hasn’t slowed. More than 200 Black women under 40 facing breast cancer asked us for help this year.

Stress isn’t “just in your head.” When stress becomes chronic, it can show up as poor sleep, headaches, high blood pressure, digestive issues and a weaker immune system.

The National Cancer Institute notes researchers are still learning how stress and cancer connect, but one thing’s clear: stress drives habits like smoking, drinking, overeating and moving less, and those ARE linked to higher cancer risk.

It’s the 1st, sis. You know what to do. 💗

is your monthly reminder to check your breasts, and if you’re under 40, this one is especially for you.

Most women don’t start routine mammograms until 40, which means for many young women, the first sign of breast cancer is something they notice themselves. Breast cancer can and does happen in your 20s and 30s, and it’s often more aggressive when it does. Black women are more likely to be diagnosed before 40.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re reminding the world what every woman facing breast cancer deserves: to be heard, to be screened early, to have equal access to care, and to never have to choose between her health and her paycheck.

She deserves compassion, financial relief, sisterhood and hope. She deserves clear answers and people who keep showing up.

At Lula’s Legacy of Love Foundation, we’re turning this list into action, one wig, one relief grant and one sister at a time. Because that’s the legacy Lula left us: a life steeped in love.

Today, we celebrate Previvors. 💗

A previvor is someone who carries an inherited genetic mutation or higher cancer risk and chooses proactive care before cancer develops. That can mean genetic testing, extra screening, or preventive surgery.

It takes courage to face that uncertainty head-on. Lula’s Legacy of Love honors every previvor, survivor and thriver in our community. Your choices matter, and you are never alone.

Know your family history. Talk to your doctor about genetic testing.
