We love seeing kids discover that they don’t have to wait until they’re grown up to make a difference. A simple service project can teach kindness, generosity, and what it means to show up for others.

This Fall Break, encourage your kids, family, school group, or youth group to choose Because One Matters for a service project! 🙌

Whether it’s organizing a donation drive, collecting needed items, or finding another creative way to give back, every act of service can help create moments where children and youth impacted by foster care feel seen, valued, and loved.

In July, these shelves were FULL. 🧸💛

Today? They’re nearly empty.

And while an empty toy shelf might not look like much, to us, it tells a beautiful story.

It means toys left these shelves and made their way into the hands of children who got to experience a little more joy, a little more celebration, and another reminder that they are seen and valued. ✨

Now, we have the opportunity to fill them all over again.

If you’d like to help us restock our toy shelves and create more moments of joy for children and youth impacted by foster care, kinship care, and adoption, we’d love to have you be part of it. 💛

❤️ What if ONE item could make a difference all year long?

That’s the idea behind our Adopt an Item Campaign.

We’re inviting individuals, families, businesses, churches, civic groups, and organizations to choose one specific item regularly needed in our Clothing Boutique and commit to helping us keep it stocked for at least one year.

Maybe it’s teen boys’ hoodies.
Maybe it’s bath towels.
Baby wipes.
Body wash.
Underwear.
Books.

You choose the item. 🧡

When our supply begins running low, we’ll simply let you know it’s time to replenish it.

It’s a simple commitment that helps us create something much bigger: a Clothing Boutique filled with brand-new clothing and essentials, where children and youth impacted by foster care can shop with dignity and choose items that are truly their own.

And we have a BIG goal:

🎯 Every item adopted by December 31, 2026.
🛍️ A fully stocked Clothing Boutique.

One person doesn’t have to stock the entire Boutique.

You can simply choose one.

One item. One year. A lasting impact. ❤️

Meet Kalvin, Kendrick, and Olivia! Kalvin is the oldest, a future firefighter who loves making art, playing sports, and taking care of his younger siblings. Kendrick enjoys cooking and watching Spider-Man. Olivia likes listening to music, watching Paw Patrol, and spending time outside with her brothers.
