EAA Chapter 690 EAA Chapter 690 is a local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association. The national organization is based out of Oshkosh, WI.

EAA 690 is a chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association, located at Briscoe Field (LZU) in Lawrenceville, Georgia. A diverse chapter with over 250 members, we offer a wide range of aviation-related activities on a regular basis. While the Pancake Breakfast and other meetings are the norm, we also are heavily involved in youth education through EAA’s Young Eagles program and our Aviation Explorer group, regularly conduct fly-ins, and host historical aircraft such as EAA’s B-17 “Aluminum Overcast” and the Ford Tri-Motor. Our technical counselors are some of the best in the business, and willingly donate their time to homebuilders, as they progress through the various phases of constructing an aircraft. We have pilots with a wide variety of experience, from former airline and military pilots to general aviation pilots with a private certificate. “Hangar flying” is a fun part of the mix, and our facility is often used for aircraft annual inspections, meetings, special events, and training. We also have an extensive array of aviation tools for loan to members, and several flight simulators. Come join us on the first Saturday of every month at the hangar to enjoy a $8 Pancake Breakfast, and to learn more about EAA 690.

✈️💗 Inspiring the Next Generation of Women in Aviation! 💗✈️

What a wonderful day for EAA Chapter 690 participating in Girls in Aviation Day at the Covington Airport in Georgia!

Events like this give young girls the opportunity to explore the exciting world of aviation, meet pilots and aviation professionals, learn about different career paths, and—most importantly—see that there is a place for them in the sky! 👩‍✈️🛩️

We’re proud to be part of a community that encourages young people to dream big, develop their passion for aviation, and discover just how far their wings can take them.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize the event, volunteered their time, shared their aviation experiences, and encouraged these future aviators. 💕✈️
