Our offices, food pantry, and Donation Center are closed tomorrow, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Families currently staying with us continue to receive ongoing care and support from staff. If you’re experiencing a housing emergency, please call 211, NJ’s information and referral service.

We're so grateful to Princeton Area Community Foundation and the individual donors, corporations, and foundations that make their Summer Initiative grant for our Camp Mercer possible! ☀️ Thanks to their support, we can provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn, try new activities, build confidence, and make lasting friendships ❤️

The Princeton Area Community Foundation awarded $500,000 in Summer Initiative grants to 25 local nonprofits helping young people stay engaged, supported, and connected throughout the summer.

From academic enrichment and arts programs to camps, meals, transportation, and mentorship opportunities, these programs are making a meaningful difference for youth and families across Greater Mercer. ☀️

This support is made possible thanks to the generosity of individual donors, corporations, and foundations, including Johnson & Johnson, Care Inspires Care and the Burke Foundation.

Congrats to HomeFront team member, Jasmine Rivera, (center) for receiving the Outstanding Leadership Award for her work with the For My Baby and Me program! This program provides holistic support and housing resources for pregnant or new moms facing substance use challenges, through a wonderful collaboration of partners: Capital Health, Trenton Health Team, Inc., The Rescue Mission of Trenton, Henry J. Austin Health Center, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, and HomeFront. Congratulations to the program participants and the partner staff members who received awards for their care and dedication—and for a successful 9 years of this healing program!

Our FreeStore pantry has gotten an upgrade! Instead of a pre-packed food bag, shoppers can receive a bag of food items that they choose. While they shop for clothing and other essentials, a volunteer, like Paulette here, packs their food bag with food items they’ve selected on their ticket. As they exit, they pick up their bag and are on their way. It’s important to give families choice & voice and to eliminate transportation barriers to accessing food. And there are more exciting things to come to the FreeStore choice pantry down the line. We thank New Jersey Economic Development Authority and FEED NJ for the funding to make this possible 🥕
