NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run An organization made up of law enforcement officers and volunteers whose main purpose is raising money and awareness for the athletes of SONJ since 1984.

We hold many events thru the year: Torch Run, Golf Tournament, 4th July 5K. Polar Plunges and more! The New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run is comprised of law enforement officers as volunteers from around the state whose purpose it to raise money and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympic NJ. We do that by holding many state wide and local fund raisers including the Seaside Heights/Wildwo

od Polar Plunges, Plane Pull, LE Golf Tournament, Thanks4Giving Dash & Splash, Lincoln Tunnel 5k, 4th of July 5K at the Statue of Liberty and much, much more.

Members of the Italian American Police Officers Society of New Jersey were happy to spend the weekend at the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games held at the College of New Jersey. They cheered on and encouraged participants while presenting gifts and medals to these amazing athletes. We are proud to be a sponsor of the Special Olympics and we thank our own Vincent Nardone for coordinating and leading at the event.

On Friday, June 5th, 2026, members of the Galloway Township Police Department ran the 2026 New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run!

The Torch run is an annual fundraising event that signifies the beginning of the Summer Special Olympic Games! Over 3,000 Officers run 26 routes spanning 750 miles!

The Galloway Township Police Department had 14 members proudly participate in this years run! They ran seven miles from 6th Avenue on Route 30 to Frankfurt Avenue.
