ges find hope, healing, and the support they need. She started Mullen’s Miracles in honor of her son, Eric, whom she lost to suicide on October 2, 2018. Even with medical personnel, trauma therapists, and recovery programs, it was overwhelming sorting through the abundance of resource options while losing the battle against time to find the help Eric so desperately needed while he was alive.

“Before I left Eric’s hospital bed, I committed to helping others live healthier lives by finding ways to ‘fill the gaps’ we had experienced. Mullen’s Miracles exists to make your journey easier so your ‘Eric’ can survive and live a long, beautiful life.”

At Mullen's Miracles, we have walked this path of suicide crisis and loss ourselves, and are here to help you. We understand the challenges that suicides bring to family and friends and are passionate about helping others. There are so many ways you can help us achieve this. We promote mental wellness and suicide prevention through education, advocacy, and unwavering support, because we believe every life is invaluable. We envision a world where compassion and understanding prevail. We strive to amplify the voices of those affected by suicide, advocate for policy changes, and drive greater awareness and support for mental health. In the short time Mullen’s Miracles has been established, we’ve helped save 5 lives through Eric’s organ donation, raised more than $200,000 for suicide prevention and awareness, and completed QPR Gatekeeper Instructor Training for Kathy to be able to train others. We’re just getting started.

In July of 2022, while working on music videos for a project with Gino Vannelli and Jeff Pike, Kathy approached his brother, Ross Vannelli, a Grammy Award-nominated and award-winning songwriter, producer, and videographer, to see if he would be interested in joining them as a musical creator. Ross jumped in with both feet, and work began immediately on what would become "Mullen's Miracles - Live Like There's No Tomorrow," an 11-song all-original CD and Video/DVD project. (Coming January 2026)

Through careful lyrical collaboration with Kathy, Ross Vannelli wrote, produced, and directed all eleven songs and videos. Jeff Pike performed all vocals and acoustic guitar, and Chris Blackwell of A1A performed all electric guitars. The first single and music video from this project, entitled 'We Go On,' was released on October 27, 2025. "We Go On" is a high-energy, spiritually uplifting song of faith and strength, delivering a message of carrying on with gratitude, confidence, and strength in the face of great turmoil and adversity, even in the darkest of circumstances. The lyrics and music are indeed universal, evoking emotions that everyone can relate to. Our second single and music video, "Live Like There's No Tomorrow," will be released along with the entire CD on January 16, 2026. Like our previous single, "We Go On," “Live Like There’s No Tomorrow” is a high-energy, spiritually uplifting song of faith. This powerhouse anthem delivers a message of the extreme strength and perseverance we all have within us to live in the now, chase our dreams, and live our best life today, even in the face of great turmoil and adversity. Everyone at Mullen's Miracles is constantly searching to find the resources to ensure our message, music, and videos reach everyone who needs a strong awakening and help in their life. With all of the political instability, pain, hatred, and rising suicide rates and mental health issues going on at this time, we feel we can make a difference and that it is our calling. We hope to save many lives. We are all in this lifeboat together, and we all have to find a way to carry on, grow, survive, learn, and live in peace.

Sometimes the texts that make them roll their eyes are the ones they remember most. 💜

So go ahead… send the message.

“Just wanted you to know I love you.”
“I’m proud of you.”
“I hope you have a great day.”

Will they be slightly embarrassed? Maybe. Will they reply with one word or a random emoji? Probably. 😅

But long after the awkwardness fades, they'll remember that someone believed in them, cheered for them, and never missed an opportunity to say, “I love you.”

A little embarrassment is a small price to pay for making sure our kids never have to wonder how much they matter. 💜

Some days, all it takes is a quiet moment in nature to remember that beauty is still all around us.

The world can be heavy, but it can also be filled with breathtaking views, unexpected kindness, meaningful connections, and reasons to keep moving forward.

Today, we’re grateful for the reminder that even in life's hardest seasons, there is still so much wonder to be found. 💜

Too often, pain goes unseen because many men feel pressure to stay silent about what they're carrying.

A conversation may seem small, but it can remind someone they're not alone.

Hope starts when we make space to listen.

Pride Month is a celebration of love, identity, and belonging. But it’s also a reminder that too many LGBTQ+ individuals are carrying invisible struggles.

Recent research found that 36% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered su***de in the past year, and 1 in 10 attempted su***de. The numbers are even higher for many transgender and nonbinary youth.

Behind every statistic is a person who deserves to be seen, valued, and supported.

At Mullen’s Miracles, we believe hope grows when people know they are not alone. A conversation, a safe space, a listening ear, or a simple act of acceptance can make a life-changing difference.

This Pride Month, and every month, we stand with those who may be struggling in silence. You matter. Your story matters. And there is always hope. 💜

Some of the strongest men we know are carrying battles no one else can see.

This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded that checking in matters. A phone call matters. A conversation matters. Taking a moment to say, “How are you really doing?” can mean more than you know.

No one should have to carry the weight of life's struggles alone. Whether you're having a hard day or a hard season, there are people who care and want to listen.

To every man who is fighting a battle in silence—we see you, and you matter.

SUNDAY, MAY 31 - Jimmy Fest 2026
Wild Haven Brewery - Avondale, Georgia

We want to thank Nero Simon, Wild Haven Brewery, The Atlanta Parrot Head Club, and everyone who joined us yesterday for Jimmy Fest 2026. Unlike last year, when we melted in the heat, the weather yesterday was almost perfect. There was no sun, but no rain either, and the temperature stayed nice and cool all day, which made for a great backdrop for some fine musical performances and a wonderful afternoon. Nero Simon & The Sunsetters, False Hearted Lovers, and Jarvis Taylor were on point, delivering not only classic Jimmy Buffett tunes but also some excellent original music and other trop rock-related material. The dance floor was well used, and the sound was fantastic. I had the honor of closing out the afternoon, joined by A1A vocalist Olivia Ivey and Todd Ague on keyboards.

Most importantly, we want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support for Mullen’s Miracles yesterday. Mullen’s Miracles was well represented yesterday by me, Kathy Mullen, Mark Williams, Dr. Jamar Jeffers, Mary Starks, Logan Roch, Gail Waters, and Chris Ivie. It was heartwarming and encouraging to witness people willing to share their stories transparently with us and to ask for help.

Mullen’s Miracles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for su***de prevention, awareness, education, QPR Training, and Organ Donation. Feel free to download and share the Mullen’s Miracle Inner Circle app. For more information, you can reach us at www.mullensmiracles.org

Lastly, we want to send out another enormous thank you to Nero Simon for his enormous heart, effort, and drive in putting together Jimmy Fest every year. Please check out Nero Simon and The Sunsetters if you get a chance. A good time and great music awaits you. We look forward to seeing you again at the next Jimmy Fest!

Here’s to good music!

Behind every number is a story, a family, and a life that mattered.
Too many veterans carry battles long after their service ends.

At Mullen’s Miracles, the mission is simple: create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and never alone. 💜

If someone you love is struggling, keep checking in. Sometimes a conversation can change everything.
