We had a great night at youth tonight!! Tonight we played the backpack hardship challenge and had to load blocks in our backpacks and carry them. We learned tonight that in Paul’s life he faced a lot of hardship!! 2 Corinthians 11:24-27 tells us that Paul was beaten, stoned, imprisoned, shipwrecked, and faced many trials. In life we may not face the same kind of hardships that Paul did but we will face hardships and we need to respond as Paul did. When Paul and Silas were in prison they chose to continue to pray and sing!!! They worshiped in the midst of trials!! That is how God wants us to respond to hardships in our lives- he wants us to praise Him in the Storms of Life!!! Then at the end of our lives we too will be able to say one day like Paul did “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day..”2 Timothy 4:7-8. It was a great end to our series on Paul tonight!! Next Wednesday we will have a special Halloween lesson and games!!! 🎃Come join the fun!!! Then the youth will be teaching all lessons in November!! It will be a great month of youth led lessons!!
