This National Grandparents Day, we’re honoring the grandparents whose love said, “I’m here.” 💜

The grandparents who opened their homes.
The grandparents helping children navigate grief while managing their own.
The grandparents learning new systems, making difficult decisions, and showing up every day.

When Love Steps In is a free virtual webinar designed to support grandparents raising grandchildren through grief with both compassionate guidance and practical information.

The webinar will cover supporting grieving children, wills and trusts, and financial resources that may help families move forward with greater confidence.

💙 What if everyone who saw this post gave just a little?

One donation could help provide materials for a grief activity.
One donation could support a family event.
One donation could help a child attend Camp Cope.
Together, those donations can create an entire community of hope.

Adam’s Place provides grief support groups, family programs, educational workshops, Camp Cope, and compassionate resources at no cost to children, teens, caregivers, and families.

But we can’t do it without you.

Give what you can. Share this post. Invite someone else to support our mission. Every act of generosity helps remind grieving families that they don’t have to walk this journey alone.

Donate today at www.adamsplacelv.org. 💙

Your child doesn’t need to have the “right” words for their grief. They just need a place where they feel understood. 💙

Camp Cope: Tackle Grief Day gives children and teens that place.

On October 24, participants will spend the day meeting others who have also experienced loss, expressing difficult feelings through creative activities, learning practical coping tools, and enjoying moments of play and laughter without judgment.

There is no “too soon” or “too long ago.” If your child is grieving, they belong here. 🏈

Thanks to the generous support of Richard Harris Law Firm , GiveHappy Foundation , and our lunch sponsor, Advanced Management Group , we’re creating a day centered on comfort, connection, and community.

🎉 Register by September 1, and the registration fee will be waived!

Every grieving child deserves a place where all of their feelings are welcome. 💙

A place where they can talk—or simply listen.
Where they can remember, create, laugh, and connect.
Where they can meet other children who understand.
Where their caregivers can feel supported, too.

That place is Camp Cope, and registration for our fall season is officially open! 🍂

Beginning in September, new and returning families will gather for age-specific groups, meaningful activities, creative expression, and compassionate support designed to help them navigate grief together.

There is never a cost to participate. Because support, connection, and hope should be available to every grieving family, regardless of financial circumstances.

Help us spread the word. One share could help a family take their first step toward feeling less alone.

Who showed up for you when grief changed everything? 💙

This World Humanitarian Day, we’re honoring the people who stay! The ones who listen without trying to fix, remember important dates, offer practical help, and continue checking in long after everyone else has returned to their routines.

Grief can affect concentration, sleep, appetite, energy, memory, and the body’s stress response. Supportive relationships cannot remove the pain of loss, but consistent connection can reduce isolation and help grieving people feel safer expressing what they need.

Compassion in action can look like:

💬 “I’m thinking about you. No response needed.”
🍽️ Offering one specific form of help instead of “Let me know if you need anything.”
🗓️ Remembering birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other difficult dates.
💙 Saying the person’s name and welcoming memories.
🤝 Listening without rushing grief or offering unwanted advice.
📱 Continuing to check in weeks and months later.

You don’t need perfect words. You need honesty, patience, and a willingness to stay present.

If someone showed up for you during grief, tag them below or privately send them this post. Let them know their compassion mattered.

Follow Adam’s Place for more practical, grief-informed guidance for supporting children, adults, and families after loss. 💙

Who is the person in your life who makes children feel safe, seen, and understood? Tag them below. 💙

Adam’s Place is looking for caring volunteers to support grieving children and families through Camp Cope.

Our upcoming facilitator training prepares volunteers to serve in our regular Camp Cope program, at Camp Cope: Tackle Grief Day, or both—offering different ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact.

No matter where you serve, you’ll help create a space where children can express themselves, build coping skills, connect with others, and feel accepted exactly as they are.

📚 Facilitator Training
📅 Saturday, August 29, 2026
🕘 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
📍 Summerlin Hospital Medical Center

We only have a few weeks left to recruit our next group of facilitators. Could one of them be you?
