We’re incredibly grateful to the Las Vegas Review-Journal for recognizing the work we’re doing to help strengthen crisis response across our community.

At Vegas Stronger, we believe people experiencing a mental health or substance-use crisis deserve compassion, dignity, and access to the right support. By connecting people with behavioral health resources, treatment, and ongoing care, we’re working to create better outcomes for individuals while helping ease the strain on our police officers and hospitals.

Being featured on the front page is an incredible honor—but for us, it’s also a reminder of why we do what we do every day. We’re here for Las Vegas, and we’re committed to making our community stronger, one person at a time.

After two recent Metro shootings, one involving a suspect reportedly in crisis, Vegas Stronger leaders said helping someone in a psychotic break requires balancing care and safety.

The Nevada Stronger office was established in the Pahrump Valley, to help boost recovery services locally, support those seeking recovery and raise awareness about the impacts of addiction on the community as a whole.

In an effort to foster community engagement, this past July, Nevada Stronger partnered with The Center Las Vegas to bring a mobile clinic to town, offering a wide variety of healthcare services to those who need them.

Vegas Stronger Fitness Coordinator Carlos Sanchez, M.S., CADC-I, will be representing Vegas Stronger during the Nevada Opioid Center of Excellence listening session, “The Science of Sweat and Sobriety: Integrating Physical Wellness into Behavioral Health.”

Physical wellness, fitness, and nutrition play an important role in our recovery model by helping individuals build healthier habits, restore confidence, and create a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
