🎃 Halloween should be about costumes, candy, and fun! Not underage drinking or impaired driving.

Before Halloween parties and fall events begin, take a few minutes to talk with your teen about making safe choices.

Parents and caregivers can help by:
👻 Knowing where their teen is and who they’ll be with
🎃 Setting clear expectations about alcohol and other substances
🧡 Making a plan for getting home safely

And remind your teen: they can always call you for help if they feel unsafe!

Prevention starts with a conversation. 🧡

What an incredible day on the court! 🏓🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined MADD Nevada for our pickleball tournament at The Plaza Hotel & Casino. From seasoned players to those picking up a paddle for the very first time, your energy, enthusiasm, and support made the day so special.

Most importantly, thank you for helping us make a difference in the fight against drunk and drugged driving. Every serve, rally, laugh, and friendly match helped support MADD Nevada’s mission to end drunk and drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking and other drug use.

We’re grateful to our players, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this event possible. 💙

You didn’t just play pickleball, you played for a purpose.

Hablar con su adolescente sobre el alcohol y otras dr**as no tiene que ser una sola conversación seria. Los momentos cotidianos pueden convertirse en oportunidades para iniciar el diálogo.

Pregúntele qué piensa. Escuche lo que tiene que decir. Comparta sus expectativas y, lo más importante, siga conversando.

The conversation doesn’t have to be perfect. It just needs to happen.

Talking with your teen about alcohol and other drugs doesn’t have to be one big, serious talk. Everyday moments can be opportunities to start the conversation.

Ask what they think. Listen to what they have to say. Share your expectations, and most importantly, keep talking.

These conversations may feel uncomfortable at first, but they get easier with practice. What matters is creating an open line of communication so your teen knows they can come to you.

Talk early. Talk often. Keep the conversation going.
