NAMI Lansing was honored to collaborate with MSU Psychology, Mental Health Research Connect, and The Gerson Family Mental Health Initiative for an inspiring Mental Illness Awareness Week event on October 7 at the MSU FRIB Auditorium!

We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Thomas Insel, former Director of the National Institute of Mental Health, who joined us via livestream from California to share his insights on transforming the mental health care system and advancing pathways to healing and recovery.

It was a meaningful evening that brought together academia and our local community to share ideas, spark hope, and explore how we can work together to create a more effective, compassionate mental health care system.

Thank you to our partners, panelists, and everyone who joined us in imagining what comes next for mental health care! Together, we can build a community where hope, healing, and recovery are possible for all. 💚
