The Child Benefit Fund is excited to announce our 10th Annual Golf Scramble, and we hope you’ll join us for a day of golf, fun, and giving back to our community!

What an amazing time at the 2026 Hippity Hop 5K & Easter Egg Hunt! 🐰🏃‍♀️🐣

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. From the smiling faces during the egg hunt to the fun race moments and Easter Bunny photos, the day was filled with excitement, laughter, and community spirit. 🌷✨

We loved seeing so many families, runners, volunteers, and community members come together for a fun-filled morning. From the Easter Egg Hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny to the 5K race and zoo adventures, your support made this event truly special.

Due to rain on April 4th, the Hippity Hop 5K and Easter Egg Hunt was rescheduled.

⏰ Time: 10:30 AM
📍 Location: Potter Park Zoo

Join us for a fun-filled day including:
🐣 Easter Egg Hunt
🏃‍♀️ 5K Run with chipped timing

Hippity Hop 5K and Easter Egg Hunt Announcement!

I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we had to postpone this past weekend's Hippity Hop 5K and Easter Egg Hunt. Due to the rapidly worsening flooding in and around Potter Park Zoo, we made the decision to postpone the event. I am happy to announce we have a new date- April 25, 2026.

If you previously signed up for the 5K and/or Easter Egg Hunt and still plan to attend, your registration is still valid and no further action is needed. If you received your race materials during packet pickup, you are already checked in and do not need to check-in again on race day. If you have not received your materials, you can pick them up beginning at 8:30 AM on April 25th.

If you were planning on attending in-person but are no longer able to, we can switch your registration to "Virtual." As a virtual participant, you run a 5K on your own and submit your time on the race website. We will then mail you the race t-shirt and medal. Virtual participant materials will be mailed the week of April 27th. If you would like your materials sooner, arrangements can be made for them to be picked up in Lansing. Please let us know by April 23, 2026 if you would like to be switched to Virtual.

Once again, thank you so much for your support of Child Benefit Fund. The money raised from this event will assist in continuing our mission of helping youth and families in Ingham County. Updates will continue to be posted on Facebook and the race website

I hope everyone is getting stretched out and prepared for tomorrow’s Hippity Hop 5K. I wanted to provide a quick update on today’s packet pickup. Originally scheduled to begin at 2 pm, we will now be starting packet pickup at 3:30 pm this afternoon. As a reminder, packet pickup will take place place at the Tiger’s Den Pavilion, located near the Zoo’s main entrance. When arriving, let the gate attendant know you are here for the Hippity Hop 5K and you will not need to pay for parking.
