KIRBY GWEN - Kirby Gwen is the Capital City’s source for the sunny side of entertainment. Host of mid days at Lansing’s WQHH, Power 96.5, her show can be heard weekdays from 10a-2p. Born and raised in Detroit, Kirby Gwen has graced the airways on WGPR in Detroit, and Oakland Universities WXOU. Kirby’s passion for the radio industry is driven by the opportunity to help create positive changes in the lives of others. The Red Cross, The National MS Society, The March of Dimes, and New York based Project T.R.U.S.T are just a few organizations Kirby Gwen has partnered and collaborated with. Kirby strives to live by the principle of gratitude. She believes that it is her responsibility to give back and uplift her community as much as possible for all that has been graciously given to her in the pursuit of her dreams.

Jake is joining Miles for Smiles for the first time this year. He is a strong community voice that is greatly admired. We are excited to have him join us this year!
JAKE DUNNE - Even though Jake Dunne is taking a break from the airwaves to focus on graduate school and obtaining a Masters Degree in Applied Meteorology, he is a proud member of the Lansing community and loves to give back whenever he can. Jake has been recognized for his charitable work receiving awards from both the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Jake moved to Lansing in 2005 to accept an offer as Morning Meteorologist for WLNS TV after working for television stations in Wyoming, Iowa and South Carolina. In 2008, Jake joined forces with Tim Barron and delivered the forecast - and a joke or two - on 92.1 and 92.9. In all, Jake has nearly 20 years of professional forecasting experience.
When he's not working or studying, Jake loves to be outside. He's an avid runner and usually logs many miles per week, though it takes him a little longer to do so these days. Jake is happily married to Holly and has been for 13 years. The couple have two children ages 12 and 10 along with a rescue dog affectionately known as Gibby.
