Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc The Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. was created and incorporated with the State of Michigan as a nonprofit organization, in December 2019.

Through the organization, we offer college scholarships and impactful community programs. The mission of the Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. is to enhance, equip and empower the Greater Lansing community to cultivate positive change. The purpose of the Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. is to improve the quality of life for Michigan residents by providing programmatic initiatives that pro

mote self-reliance, self-empowerment, and self-determination through economics, health, education, globalization, and the arts. The membership in the Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. is comprised of financial members who are also members of the Delta Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

This year the Pearls of Excellence Foundation (POEF) gave back to those in need through our community service project entitled I-C-Love. This project allows us to address various needs in our community. On August 11th, we donated 700 personal care items and household essentials to Advent House Ministries in Lansing; and today (December 23rd) we donated 150 cancer care packages for patients going through chemotherapy treatments at McLaren and UMH-Sparrow hospitals in Lansing. We are blessed to be a blessing to others.

Join the Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. for our 3rd Annual Golf Outing & Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, August 5th at Forest Akers East Golf Course. This year's event will include a clinic, 9-hole scramble, and meal afterward. We'll have various hole competitions, prizes and giveaways for our golfers. Last year's event was fun and we are planning another enjoyable outing for our golfers. Check out some photos from last year's event!

SAVE-THE-DATE...The Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. is excited to announce our 3rd Annual Golf Outing & Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, August 5th at Forest Akers East Golf Course. Congratulations to the Class of 2023!!

On Saturday. May 20th, Delta Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Pearls of Excellence Foundation, Inc. held their 44th Annual Senior Salute and Scholarship Luncheon. The return of this in-person celebration was a wonderful community event. Thank you to the program participants - Justice Kyra Harris Bolden, Justice Kristen D. Simmons, Commissioner Myles Johnson, Mr. Rodney Page, Miss Jasmine Boyd, Dr. Renee Canady, and Dr. Veronica Wilkerson Johnson – for your uplifting and inspiring messages (in word and song).

We had a wonderful time recognizing our Senior Salute Honorees and announcing our 12 scholarship winners. All 12 winners are very deserving and we are proud to provide over $12,000 in scholarship funds this year. Join us in 2024 for the 45th Annual Senior Salute and Scholarship Celebration. We are one week away from the Pearls of Excellence Foundation’s 2nd Annual Golf Outing and Scholarship Fundraiser. If you have not registered yet, no worries; you can submit your registration and payment thru tomorrow (Sunday, August 21st) at https://www.pearlsofexcellence.com/events/golf-outing-2022. Proceeds from this event benefit college scholarships to high school seniors in the Greater Lansing area.

If you’re new to golf, consider participating in the clinic (8am) to learn the fundamentals of the game. If you’re an experienced golfer, then the 18-hole scramble is for you (shotgun start 9am). The scramble comes with cart use, snacks, boxed lunch, hole competitions and prizes. Or, do both the clinic and scramble, and make a day of it!

We would love for you to join us as we’re golfing for a good cause.
