Michigan’s Medicare Advantage market is getting a new entrant in 2027.

NABIP Michigan Annual Advantage Sponsor Devoted Health recently announced a $1.18 billion financing transaction as the company continues a significant national expansion. Devoted plans to add five states next year, including Michigan, bringing its footprint to 34 states and more than 1,300 counties.

The growth is notable for Michigan benefits professionals watching an already competitive Medicare Advantage landscape. Devoted reported approximately 538,000 members as of September, more than doubling its membership since December.

As new carriers, plan options and care models enter the state, Michigan agents will continue to play an important role in helping Medicare beneficiaries understand what those changes mean for them.
