🎉 Help us welcome our new Assistant Director, John Murphy—and wish him a very Happy Birthday today!

We’re excited to officially welcome John Murphy to the Geneva Hills team!

John brings nearly nine years of experience in camping ministry, with a background spanning programming, development, marketing, technology, activities, and hands-on maintenance. He got his start serving on summer staff at Cedar Lake Ministries and went on to serve in a variety of leadership roles there.

But what excites us most is John’s heart for ministry. Camp played an important role in his own relationship with Christ and eventually became the place where he felt God calling him into ministry. He believes strongly in the unique opportunity camp provides to remove people from the distractions of everyday life and give them space to experience God in new ways.

John has been married to his wife, Hannah, for six years, and they have a son, J.C., who is almost one year old. They’ll be moving to Geneva Hills soon, and John will officially begin his role in early September.

We’re greatly excited to welcome the entire Murphy family to Geneva Hills and see how God uses them in this next season of ministry.

Safety always comes first at Geneva Hills! 🛟💙

We are incredibly grateful to the Fairfield County Foundation, Youth Advisory Committee, and George and Dollie L. Zimpfer Memorial Fund for a generous $2,000 grant supporting our Safe Swimming for Youth project.

This funding provided new lifeguard chairs and essential pool safety equipment, helping us create a safer swimming environment for more than 1,500 campers, retreat guests, and community members during our 2026 season.

Thank you for investing in the safety and well-being of youth in our community. Your support helps ensure that everyone who visits Geneva Hills can learn, play, and make memories in a safer environment!

What a summer! ☀️🌲

Camp 2026 was filled with big adventures, new friendships, and countless moments we’ll never forget. We welcomed 392 kids, opened a brand-new cabin, and watched God move in incredible ways—including 12 known decisions to follow Jesus and many more commitments to baptism, reading the Bible, and taking the next step in faith. 🙌

None of it would have been possible without our 15 dedicated staff members who poured their hearts into making camp a safe, joyful, and life-changing experience.

To every camper, family, staff member, volunteer, and supporter: thank you for helping make this summer legendary! 💚
