During our last week of learning for the 2025-2026 school year, we completed our Outdoor Learning!

☀️Monday the weather was absolutely perfect! Miss. Claire and Miss. Katelynn were able to present lessons and presentations just as planned. 📝

The children explored the Stations around the playground’s environment. Which included: Observation, Research, Water Works, Rock Sifting, Planting, & a Hydration Station where the children had their water bottles for easy access!

During the discussion of the What’s Wild? Lesson, the children were able to provide characteristics and examples of domesticated and wild animals!

The Baskets! Game Miss. Katelynn adapted for the children was such a hit. It took the children a few tries but they had so much fun making a Basket and then getting to shout out for their friends when they made one!🗑️

During the Kindergarten part of the day, the children went around the playground’s environment to locate an insect we could identify and study. We were able to locate a jumping spider on the pirate ship, who was kind enough to be still while we filled out a data sheet to document our observations. Miss. Katelynn released the jumping spider right back where the children found her. 🕷️

All in all, Monday was the perfect for our first day of Outdoor Learning!!

📣ENROLLMENT IS STILL OPEN, BUT SPOTS ARE FILLING UP!!📣

To begin the Enrollment Process, start by filling out an Interest Form on our website. This informs our Directress that your family is interested in joining our Lancaster Montessori School’s Community, which in turn allows us to begin our connection!!

Please keep in mind that spots are becoming limited and we are working diligently to create connections with all who are interested.

We are so excited for the 2026-2027 school year!!

✨A special shoutout to Jodi, one of the children’s grandparents who has shared her kindness with the Lancaster Montessori School’s Community in more ways than one. ✨

We are so thankful to have members of this community who honor and support our philosophy of helping others!! From stocking the Blessings Box we have next to our playground gate, to making donations to the school that aid in general upkeep and enriching the children’s learning journey.

These acts of kindness were done randomly and with the intent of helping when possible, they may have been small to some, but the small things add up and end up making a difference in someone’s day.

Thank you again, Jodi. Your kindness has spread throughout the community and we hope sharing your acts continues to do so. ❤️

🎓Graduation on Friday was such a success!🎓

A huge thank you to the parents that helped with finishing touches on the playground, providing a very handy extension cord, and assisting with setting up and deflating the bounce house!

The children were so excited to show off their songs to their family members and friends, as well as being able to celebrate and mingle with everyone. It was truly magical. ✨

As the 2025-2026 school year winds down, the children will be enjoying their time outside with curriculum designed around the Montessori Method! Stay tuned for updates about our adventures and explorations!

🎓Lancaster Montessori School’s 2025-2026 Class will be graduating tomorrow on Friday!!🎓

✨The children have learned so much this school year, and we are so excited for them to show off their skills to their family members and close friends!✨

🥺The teachers have been busy making sure all the details are in order for tomorrow, and are just now realizing that our time in the classroom with these amazing children has ended. 🤩However, we still have a week of learning ahead of us, just this time outside!!

💐One of the days for Teacher Appreciation Week, the teachers received bouquets of flowers!💐
Miss. Claire, Miss. Cheryl, and Miss. Katelynn immediately knew what to do with this opportunity to share beauty with the children and our classroom community. They quickly gathered a large vase to place the bouquets in, mini-vases, a water pitcher, and scissors on a table at child height. The chair was removed due to it now being a flower arranging work station, the children prepared their vase and then thoughtfully arranged the flowers around the classroom! The past week has been filled with floral scents and pops of bright color on work tables and lunch areas.

As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close and we head into the final two weeks of the school year, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible teachers again at Lancaster Montessori. Their dedication, patience, and care make such a lasting impact on our students every single day, and we are so thankful for everything they do for our school community. ❤️
