The golf outing was canceled today because of the rain. I understand that there was to be a 50/50 that never happened. I apologize as the commander of the American Legion but this was a son’s golf outing not a Legion outing. I just wanted to clear this up.

Here are some pictures from the July 5th Parade our post participated in for Mr. Herb Hosey who is 100 year old WWII Veteran. All he wanted for his Birthday was a parade in his neighborhood. Also attending was Mr. John Kirwin Korean War Veteran, Mr. Vernon Montgomery Korean War Veteran and Mr. Dan Parrish Vietnam War Veteran. The Post presented all 4 of the veterans with a Certificate of Appreciation for their Service. The parade was escorted by 2 Fairfield County Sheriffs. Thank you to our Commander Mr. Rick Beck for driving our Float today. Thank you to our Post 11 Auxiliary and Post 11 Sons for helping put the Float back together after some things blew off during the drive up to Fremar Rd, and for riding on it to show our appreciation to these Veterans.
