Jade Kids Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc. is now dba Jade Kids The long term goal to support this purpose is to have a nature site in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

The purpose of Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation, is exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, more specifically to help others by promoting healing, health and wellbeing through training and treatment using the nature based theory of Chinese Medicine at an affordable cost to the patients and clients. Inspiration for founding Jade Woman de LaLo

nde and this goal came in part from Richard Louv. In his book, "Last Child in the Woods" he states "the child in nature is an endangered species and the health of children and the health of the Earth are inseparable." Judi Terrill, Founder and Executive Director of Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc, is the mastermind behind the entire organization. She has eighteen years of experience as a Chinese Medicine Professional. With nature as her basis and guide, Ms. Terrill developed a unique Five Element model to diagnose and treat children, parents, families and other adults. This nature based art form of the medicine uses elements in nature, specifically, water, wood, fire, earth and metal to identify the individual characteristics, needs and best environment for healthy development and wellbeing. Treatment focuses on the entire being, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. She has often helped both children and adults that Western Medicine has been unsuccessful diagnosing and treating. In addition to her experience and expertise in Chinese Medicine practice, teaching and program development, Ms. Terrill had an extensive career in Corporate America as a Corporate Executive and Officer in Finance, Management and Administration.

"The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul." — Robert Wyland

Children love to explore the natural world, and this world is 70% water. Entire ecosystems thrive inside bodies of water. Whether you live near an ocean, lake, pond, stream, or river, kids will love to explore water!

Water engages all of the senses, from sights and smells, to sounds and even taste. Walking on sandy beaches or rocky riverbeds requires balance and muscles not used during daily activity. A barefoot child is grounded to the earth.

Children not only have fun, but they’re decompressing, relaxing, learning, and best of all - creating lifetime memories.

When you connect with Nature ~ you connect with yourself.

The ever-growing evidence of the multiple benefits of nature on children's well-being is so clear that it has led pediatricians to recommend nature contact for improving children's health. We connect with nature through our senses, so nature is not an abstract phenomenon but a lived-in, interactive experience of touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste.

Children enjoy the immediate restorative and soothing effects of connecting with nature, promoting relaxation, and reducing negative emotional states, such as stress, anxiety, depression, and anger.

From ancient folklore to studies in modern science, the connection between humans and trees runs deep. Trees have been witness to human history, offering shelter, sustenance, and solace.

They're also powerful allies in the battle against stress and anxiety for both adults and children. The younger we teach children to rely on nature for healing, the healthier their lives will become.

Spending time in nature—whether that means skipping down a tree-lined city street, getting hands dirty in a school garden, or camping under the stars—is essential for a healthy childhood. Kids who have opportunities to be in nature are more likely to report lower levels of stress and anxiety, greater social connections, and more feelings of overall happiness.

Neighborhoods and schoolyards that protect or restore nature can lead to improved mental and physical health outcomes for our kids.

Nature is calling, but our kids are wearing noise-canceling headphones. We can help them listen.

At last came the golden month of the wild folk -
honey-sweet May,
when the birds come back,
and the flowers come out,
and the air is full of the sunrise scents,
and songs of the dawning year.

You will teach them to fly, but they will not fly your flight.
You will teach them to dream, but they will not dream your dream.
You will teach them to live, but they will not live your life.
Nevertheless, in every flight, dream, life -
the imprint of the way you taught them will remain.

Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.
- John Muir

As the weekend approaches, plan a hike with the kids — wildflowers are blooming, birds are singing, butterflies are flitting, and bees are buzzing! It’s time to get outside and see the beauty of earth's renewal.
