📣 OUR COMMUNITY. OUR PRIORITIES. OUR PLAN.
After months of listening, research, community conversations, partnership, and planning, the proposed 2026–2029 Klamath & Lake Counties Council on Aging Area Plan is officially open for public comment.
This is more than a routine update.
Our Area Plan is the roadmap that will guide how KLCCOA plans, coordinates, strengthens, and prioritizes aging and disability services across Klamath and Lake Counties through 2029.
And it was built from what you told us.
We heard about transportation barriers. Food insecurity. The desire to age safely at home. Caregiver stress. Rural healthcare access. Social isolation. And the need to make services easier to find and navigate.
Now, we’re asking you to take one more step with us: review the plan and tell us what you think.
💛 You do not have to read all 260 pages to participate.
On our new Area Plan webpage, you can:
• Read the full proposed Area Plan
• Start with the Executive Summary
• Review the proposed budget
• Explore the priorities that matter most to you
• Submit your public comment online
• Find information about upcoming public comment opportunities
📅 Public Comment Period: August 13 – September 12, 2026
Every comment matters. Every perspective helps. And every response gives us another opportunity to make this plan stronger before it is finalized.
