Following the devastating earthquake in Colombia, The Giving Genie proudly partnered with Fundación Arquidiocesana Banco de Alimentos de Cali, one of four organizations we supported through our humanitarian relief efforts.

Through our contribution, we helped provide essential assistance to earthquake-affected families in Versalles, Valle del Cauca.

🎓💚 SHE ISN’T JUST LEARNING ABOUT ELECTRICITY. SHE IS BUILDING HER FUTURE! 🇲🇿⚡

Meet Alice de Yura, one of the young women supported through The Giving Genie’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) in Mozambique!

Here, Alice is gaining hands-on experience in electrical systems and industrial automation, working with electrical circuits, control panels, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)—technology used to operate machinery and automated systems across industries.

In a country where girls continue to face significant barriers to education and economic opportunity, seeing young women like Alice developing technical skills in traditionally male-dominated fields reminds us exactly why we invest in education.

Through TAP, we currently support 40 students, approximately 70% of whom are young women, helping them pursue technical and vocational qualifications that can open doors to employment and financial independence.

🎓💚 EDUCATION IS NOT CHARITY. IT’S AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE! 🇲🇿

At The Giving Genie, we believe financial hardship should never determine a young person’s future.

Through our Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), we proudly support 40 students pursuing technical and vocational education at the Instituto Industrial e Comercial Estrela do Mar in Inhassoro, Mozambique.

💚 Approximately 70% of our beneficiaries are young women!

📚 HOW DOES OUR PROGRAM WORK?

Students apply for financial assistance and are assessed based on their educational circumstances, financial needs, and commitment to continuing their studies.

Our support helps them pursue practical qualifications in technical fields, including electrical training, preparing them for employment and greater economic independence.

🌍 BEYOND TUITION: BUILDING FUTURE LEADERS

Our investment doesn’t end with tuition payments!

Through our Genie Corps Emergency Response Program (GCERP), students also receive training in first aid, disaster preparedness, and emergency response.

Completion of this training is required for continued tuition assistance into the second semester.

We believe education should develop not only skilled professionals but also responsible individuals who can serve their communities.

✨💚 MAGIC QUILLOW: DESIGNED BY CHILDREN, MADE WITH LOVE 🇲🇿

Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and valued. A personalized quilt can provide comfort, dignity, and a sense of belonging. ❤️

We’re excited to announce the second implementation of The Giving Genie’s Magic Quillow Project in Mozambique!

Through a newly signed MOU with the Provincial Social Affairs Service of Inhambane – Department of Gender, Children and Social Action, we’re bringing this initiative to our beautiful orphans 🙏🏽.

🧵 WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?

Each child chooses the colors, patterns, and designs for their handmade Magic Quillow—a quilt that transforms into a pillow. Their choices become part of something created especially for them.

The project also includes educational activities focused on personal safety and emergency preparedness, helping children build confidence and resilience.

Together with our technical partner, ODEI, we’re making this next chapter possible.

💚 It’s more than a quilt. It’s a child’s choice, creativity, comfort, and a reminder that they matter.
