Alton Town Center continues to be a dedicated community partner by giving guests at their seasonal events an opportunity to donate to the agency. This weekend, Donor Engagement and Events Manager Sydney Parmet and Director of Administration Emily Gorman hosted a table at Alton’s Pumpkin Patch and Halloween Spooktacular. Visitors had the chance to learn more about the agency and support our families by donating to our upcoming Thanksgiving event!

Our annual Trunk or Treat looked a little different this year thanks to classic Florida rainstorms, but the Halloween spirit was alive and well!

On Friday evening, volunteers, board members, community partners, and staff came together to decorate their trunks and welcome trick-or-treaters from across all agency housing programs. While the weather called for a few adjustments, families were still able to bring their tiny superheroes, popstars, and dinosaurs out for an evening of sweet treats, spooky fun, and community connection. A big thank-you to our dedicated volunteers and partners who helped ensure the Halloween fun could go on!

Our 2026 Santa Shoppe event is less than two months away! This annual tradition allows children to “shop” for their family members, have their gifts wrapped by our volunteer elves, and receive a gift from Santa and Mrs. Claus!

This event is only possible because of the kindness and generosity of our supporters. If you want to purchase an item off a child’s wishlist or learn more about the event, click here:

Children select gifts for their family members, do crafts, and enjoy lunch in a holiday wonderland. You can provide a personalized gift that Santa will present to each child.

Our annual Trunk or Treat celebration will take place tomorrow evening, and today we want to thank one of the incredible groups that makes this event possible. For the third year in a row, International Materials Foundation donated costumes specifically requested by over 40 kids who will attend the event. International Materials Foundation also supports the agency through grants, volunteering, and in-kind gifts. Thank you to our friends at International Materials for bringing our kids’ Halloween costume ideas to life!

Last week, Adopt-A-Family celebrated our meaningful partnership with United Way of Palm Beach County through a staff fundraising campaign. The week-long initiative included fun staff events such as trivia, self-guided painting, and competitive games of AAF Guess Who. The campaign culminated in a trip to PopStroke on Friday, where staff enjoyed food and games of mini-golf.

We are proud to announce that 100% of our staff members chose to contribute to the campaign. This achievement highlights the strength of our partnership and our employees’ collective support of the work United Way of Palm Beach County does to ensure that every family in Palm Beach County has their basic needs met.

Jewish Women in Action are dedicated to helping our families succeed. Whether it’s sponsoring a scholarship at Project Grow or in-kind donations of household goods, Jewish Women in Action offer thoughtful support to the households we serve.

Last week, Volunteer Coordinator Jessy Paredes (right) had the opportunity to speak at one of their events about the agency’s mission, programs, and impact. We are grateful to Jewish Women in Action for this invitation and for their ongoing partnership.

Today marks the culmination of the agency’s United Way workplace campaign. This week-long event seeks to raise awareness and funds for the important work that United Way of Palm Beach County does every day for the most vulnerable groups in our community.

United Way supports over 100 programs in Palm Beach County that fulfill their mission to ensure that everyone has access to the basics: a quality education, a place to live, financial stability, good medical care, and enough to eat. Their generosity, knowledge, and care enables our agency and many partner nonprofits to serve our clients to the best of our ability.

We are so grateful for United Way’s partnership. Keep an eye out for the recap of our agency’s campaign next week.
