Oko'a Farms Cooks Soup for Maui Kūpuna

Oko'a Farms visits Kaunoa Senior Services to cook soup and share farm-fresh produce with Maui kūpuna. The pot simmers local pumpkin squash, sweet potato, onion, leafy greens, shiitake, and black pearl mushrooms—known for beta-glucans that support brain health. Elders also take home dragon fruit, apple bananas, carrots, lettuce, and red beets from the farm’s newest acreage. A small regenerative family farm that grew from a few acres now puts local food on community tables instead of shipped produce. Seniors on fixed incomes taste fresh organic beets for the first time and gather for meals and crafts. Watch Maui farmers nourish our elders, one pot and one produce bag at a time. 🍲 🎃 🍄 🥬 🍌 🐉 🥕 🧓 🌺 🌱 💚 ❤️
