Pō Kilo Hōkū are once a month stargazing events that contribute to increasing exposure to ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi and ʻike Hawaiʻi through the context of Hawaiian voyaging, and moʻolelo. These events support ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi and ʻike Hawaiʻi for ʻohana and kaiāulu. E nanea i nā kaunoʻo no nā ʻohana, moʻolelo hōkū, a me ʻai māmā.

Nā Moʻo Noʻeau ʻŌpio Leadership and well-being program is rooted in ʻōiwi cultural arts and waʻa practice. Through creative expression, ʻāina-based learning, and moʻolelo, youth will explore creating their own Kūkuluokalani (star compass) while connecting with ʻike kūpuna, purpose, values, community, and culture. Program is happening this July, and registration is open!

Our after school club enjoying time with crew as they learn what it takes to holomoana. Reading the ocean, winds and tides are all part of their journey while also observing the patterns in our sky; quickly noticing the connections to the oli and mele they practice. We are so proud of our haumana and see the improvement they’ve made in just a short time. Kau ka peʻa, holo ka waʻa!
