It was an honor and privilege to support our West Maui community by providing 700 holiday dinners to folks in need. Mahalo to all the food vendors, churches, volunteers, and MEO youth services for making this event possible.

A special thanks to the Ritz Carlton Kapalua, Old Lahaina Luau, and Kaanapali Aston for your donations. Together we were able to provide a gift of Aloha and Hope to keiki and kupuna, the oldest being 103!

Exciting news for our organization and community as we bring forward a community-driven solution! See more at hawaiithriving.com

On Friday, November 5, 2021, The Maui County Council voted unanimously to pass CR21-97, the County Resolution in support of The Hoʻomāhua Initiative!

We would like to thank the guidance of Councilmembers Kelly King and Shane Sinenci in the process to make this happen. We would like to especially acknowledge past Councilmember Elle Cochran who during her term prepared the way four years ago so that a proposal like ours may be approved. Elle has been a great supporter and stakeholder of The Hoʻomāhua Initiative as well.

Maui, we look forward to being of service to the community as we work to bring the vision of The Hoʻomāhua Initiative to life. This is a kākou-everyone initiative where our vision is to harness smart, regenerative, community-based tourism to create thriving communities. See www.hawaiithriving.com

Mahalo Elle Cochran for paving the way and supporting the vision.

Mahalo Save Honolua Coalition for coming on board to support the vision and work with us to have Honolua become our starting point and example of what we can do together.

Mahalo John Carty for your work and coordination!

Mahalo Wilmont Kamaunu Kahaialii for doing everything you do and working with me to bring this vision forward.

Mahalo Kaiaka Adarna for your support and being a part of this team.

Mahalo Scot Patrick Hoapili Brenda K. Reichel Edie Hanohano for coming together as a Board and pursuing this vision for Nā Mea ʻIke ʻIa.

Mahalo HIPPE Education for working with us to plan how we will impact the community and advance Native Hawaiian businesses!

Mahalo Kanaka Kanaka Economic Development Alliance for working with us to envision how your amazing resource can tie into our work.

Mahalo Partners In Development Foundation for working with us as we find our path to move forward to the next steps.
