Marine Corps League Lafayette, Indiana - David M. Shoup Detachment # 547 All Marines, Corpsman and active duty as well as Veterans are welcome to attend. The Few, The Proud. Semper Fi!

The Lafayette Detachment of the Marine Corps League meets once a month, which is currently the second Wednesday of the month at the American Legion Post 11 on 1801 South 9th Street in Lafayette. The Marine Corps League is always looking for new members so if you are a Marine show your pride and join your local Marine Corps League.

Monday 6/08 is the American Legion Post 11 meeting. All Marines that are also Legion members, try to attend the 18:30 meeting. The members will vote for doing the fence protect. I have the grant from Home Depot approved for materials to complete the project. Chow is provided before the meeting, 18:00.

May 31st 10:00, Volunteers needed at Post 11 to cleanup and prep for the fence that we will be building. We need: chainsaws, rakes, shovels, 2 flatbed trailers to haul brush, wear gloves, masks, hard hat if needed, eye and hearing protection.!
We will have another work party once the material arrives for the fence.!!

We had 20 members at our last meeting, out of 58 total members. Of the 58, 41 are life members.!! Our dues are $30 per year, and our meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at American Legion Post 11, 1801 S 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47905.
We have new officers now, as US old timers help with keeping the officers in line… If you haven’t attended a meeting lately, come back for fellowship and brotherhood.
I proposed a challenge to the membership to attain new members. Come to the meeting to find out what it is.
